Welcome to the Montessori Day School of Brooklyn!

When you walk through the doors of our school, you're entering a place where childhood is celebrated. It’s a place where you can feel the joy and wonder that are the very heart of the Montessori pedagogy. We believe in a magical experience—one that doesn't rely on fairy dust, but on a deep understanding of how children learn and grow.
Maria Montessori knew that children are naturally curious and driven. Our role isn't to fill them with facts, but to guide them as they discover the world for themselves. In our classrooms, you'll see children fully engaged in meaningful work. They are tending to a garden, meticulously arranging beautiful objects on a shelf, or collaborating with a friend on a complex project. These aren’t just activities; they are invitations to learn, to explore, and to find that incredible spark that ignites a lifelong love of learning.
This is a place where a toddler can find immense satisfaction of independent skills like handwashing and setting the table for lunch. While our and primary children began to explore letters and math concepts with the sandpaper letters and the binomial cube. This isn’t a passive experience; it's an active partnership where each child is a co-creator of their own education. Our dedicated teachers serve as facilitators, they careful observer and compassionately guide each child to their fullest potential .
At the Montessori Day School of Brooklyn, we create an environment where children feel secure enough to take risks and courageous enough to ask big questions. We see the magic happen every day—in a child’s quiet concentration, in a burst of collaborative laughter, and in the "aha!" moment of a new discovery. This is the foundation of a joyful education.
I invite you to explore our website, join one of our tours, and see this magic for yourself. We can't wait to share our school with you.
With warmth and gratitude,
