The Montessori Day School of Brooklyn is now accepting applications for the following positions:

 

Extended Day Program (Part-Time)

Extended Day (After School) team members prepare materials, care for and supervise groups of children, and plan engaging, stimulating small-group and large-group activities. We expect Extended Day staff to work collaboratively with co-workers and supervisors, to demonstrate knowledge of age-appropriate practices with young children, and to communicate clearly with parents and caregivers.

 

 

Call-In Substitutes

MDS maintains a Call-In Sub list for times when MDS faculty members are absent. Individuals on the list should have an interest and background in early childhood education, familiarity with the Montessori Method, and willingness to work with children ages two to five in an innovative learning environment. Call-In Subs will receive initial training associated with MDS policies and early childhood best practices before being called for sub work in a classroom.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education preferred, plus experience working collaboratively in early childhood settings
