Summer CampSummer camp is fast approaching. This year promises to be a fun and exciting summer at MDS.This year's theme is playgrounds. In addition to visiting a variety of local playgrounds as part of their camp week, children will, through art, create their own play spaces representing their "ideal" playgrounds. The children will also enjoy a variety of other activities each week: Super Soccer Stars will run clinics and games on the grassy fields of Mount Prospect Park and Prospect Park; and we will have music, movement, and yoga. And our field trips will take us to the Brooklyn Children's Museum, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Prospect Park Zoo, and the New York Aquarium in Coney Island. Schedule and Tuition The 2010 Summer Program is divided into 2 sessions: Session I runs for four (4) weeks from Tuesday, July 6 through Friday, July 30. Or just come by the office and we can answer any questions you might have. We welcome alumni and all of our students who are moving on to other schools next September as well as new students beginning this fall. Summer camp is an especially good experience for children who will be new to MDS to acclimate to school. One of the unique features of our summer camp program is that the teachers in the summer are the teachers who work at MDS during the school year. This provides a great opportunity for new children to begin their transition to MDS even before the school year begins. |
